trekking in Nepal
Nepal is known for the Himalayas. From a town we we were staying in called Pokhara, the Himalayas looked as close as the local hills because they are so huge and covered with beautiful snowy peaks.
From Pokhara, we took an hour long cab ride to Naya Pul and began our trek on the Annapurna Circuit. The kind of trekking we did is basically the same thing as hiking, but we carried our stuff with us and stopped to eat and sleep along the way in tea houses and guest lodges.
The trail was beautiful. We walked along a river and saw waterfalls and the beautiful hillside. We passed through towns and talked with the friendly Nepali people. We often shared the trail with horses making deliveries from town to town.
We treked for 3 days. We had planned to be out for longer, but the skies were cloudy and sometimes rainy which meant we couldn't see the mountains that we came to see.
We went back to Kathmandu and nursed our bug bites and showered in comfort.
